Iron Shield answered my request on Yelp immediately and was able to send their tech Justin Bayne out right away. He did a full yearly maintenance and found our condensation drain clogged. He unclogged it and then found the refrigerant level in our system low which I didn't even think we needed. He took care of it very professionally, explaining everything as he worked. Our AC works better and cooler now and the drain won't overflow. I recommend Iron Shield for your HVAC needs and I will use them again. Thanks Justin!

Their Tech, Bryan Silva, was amazing. I had been struggling to get my unit fixed for several years and had 3 other repair companies (including the installers) who couldn't seem to make my unit work. Bryan worked consistently and thoroughly to find the problem, eliminating things it could be. He found the problem that no other tech could resolve and, hopefully, I will have cool air for a long time.

The Following day my unit is not working again. So I have a 2020 condenser I have barely used and now I have another wire that has been ran into my house to the air handler. I think central air and heat is a big rip off.

Thank you to IRON SHIELD for coming back out again and making things better. it is unfortunate that the big company (that begins with a P) installed a condenser for me 6 years ago and it never worked since then. It was a challenge for so many technicians who came out over the past 6 years because the big company never completed the installation correctly. Thanks for being so patient and persistent to fix the problem and no charge for the second trip. I assure you it is very appreciated and if it breaks again and needs replaced, you will be the company I choose to purchase from. Another large company that begins withe an F came out the week before and did not even try to fix my existing unit. They just dismissed me and tried to sell me the complete condenser and air intake and didnt even try to fix what I have. Thanks again!

Our system was blowing warm air. We called last night and was given first appointment today. Todd arrived, found the Rheem system frozen up, investigated to determine the cause. Found parts needed replacement. He called a local Rheem dealer for parts, was told we were still under warranty so he promised to return end of day to install after finishing 2 scheduled jobs and picking up the parts Todd arrived around 7:30 and spent a couple of hours getting it done. Iron Shield has done our 6 month maintenance a few times now and always does a great job. We also had them install a mini split in our garage. Very pleased with them. Great job!

Todd was great. Installed a new thermostat, and found a blockage on the blower motor from old insulation that was causing poor air flow in bedrooms. Fixed both and explained everything during the process and gave me a free quote to replace my 17 year old unit that he managed to doctor up in the meantime while we figure out the next step. No hard core sales pitch or upselling just honesty and integrity. Will be using them from here on out.

My experience was excellent, no cold air blowing…. Called made a appointment for 12-2… I got a call.. “ sorry tech can’t come out til 5pm… still good…, but they called right back and the on call tech was starting early!
So to my house they came promptly, fixed the problem and gave me some helpful things to do to ensure I don’t have this type of problem again. Filter was dirty, and we needed Freon.

They were diligent in checking the problem with my air conditioner, but the air is still insufficient in the two bedrooms that share a bathroom. The air tends to accumulate in the master bedroom. Today they came and were supposed to install a 5" or 6" pipe reducer, but they didn't bring the correct part. So, the technician, trying to make a workaround, fabricated a pipe reducer out of a heavy piece of fiberglass sheet and installed it to see if it would work. After installing it, it was discovered that the air conditioning in the living room bathroom is still insufficient, as are the two additional bedrooms. I am waiting for their next visit to finally resolve this situation. I live in Ocala.

I called to schedule an appointment with Iron Shield. Victor answered the phone and set an appointment the same day. Jessie came by on time, looked at the air conditioner/heater unit. The heater was not working. He tested it. He saw that it was not turning on. He called his boss Victor and Victor told him the problem. Jessie made the appropriate adjustments, and found there was no problems with the unit. Instead he told me how to make the unit work which it did work after he told me, and now the unit works fine. There were no repairs needed. There was no charge for the service call so I have to say that Iron shield is extremely honest in their work. I would recommend them to anyone who needs downhome service. This company has very good integrity. I ended up buying a service plan and I am very satisfied with this company.

Scheduled my second service. Technicians Jesse and Justin texted me to say they were on their way (I love this), showed up on time. Introduced themselves (Jesse was the tech who serviced the unit the first time). They got the service done and walked me through all they had done. I felt they were my family! My advice is don't call anyone else. Make Iron Shield your first and last call. I will renew my service contract with Iron Shield again. Great people for sure.

And this company provided us with EVERYTHING, permits, the electrician and even included in our estimate was additional insulation, which we knew we needed and asked for.

Updating review: We have now been with Iron Shield for over a year, each maintenance visit is great. The technician sends a text when they are on the way and always on time and within the originally scheduled window. They found a small issue today and the tech made sure to find out if my product was under warranty and give the best price possible for fixing. Landon, was great and very friendly and informative. I still suggest anyone looking for a local, honest company to give Iron Shield a call- you won’t be disappointed!
Switched to Iron Shield and first service was great. Techs came for annual check of A/C system. There were many reminder messages and a text message the morning of appointment to state tech was on his way. Two techs arrived and stayed quite awhile looking over everything and inspecting A/C parts that previous company hadn’t looked at. We will definitely be keeping Iron Shield as our A/C company! Landen was very thorough and told us things about proper maintenance the homeowner should do that we’ve never been told. Did a walk through that’s never been done and suggested a surge suppressor for protecting the a/c unit for minimal cost that no one ever suggested and a better and easier filter system as the one on the air handler has always been a pain to get out…that no one has ever suggested. I just recently had maintenance done on my central air conditioner. The techs Victor and Landon were very nice and professional. I really like the fact that they took the time to explain things to me and answer all my questions since this is the first time I have ever had central air and heat. They did a great job.

I was having an issue with my heating in my home. I called Iron Shield to see how soon they would be able to get someone out to work on the unit. Cindy in the office had Jesse on his way the next day !! I had to be away from the house at the scheduled time and I called Jesse to let him know. Not a problem they just bumped me back a couple hours. Nice to have a company that is willing to work with their customers!! When Jesse got there to check out the unit we had a real stumper on our hands. Pressures were strange and things weren’t acting quite right. Jesse called his tech support and soon they were on scene with us. Meticulously and thoroughly Jesse and Andrew eliminated possibly problems. After about 4 1/2 hours the guys determined what they thought was the problem being very careful not to misdiagnose it. The time and dedication they took to make sure we got it right was impressive to say the least. Can’t thank these guys and the company enough for all their help! First rate company with first rate people who know their stuff !!

Impeccable service! Can’t say enough good things! We had our AC system replaced a couple of years ago by a different company and after two years of problems, we reached out to Iron Shield. They came out right away, immediately identified the problems and gave us a fair and reasonable quote to correct all our issues. Everyone we dealt with was very professional and courteous. They arrived within the time frame given, with text and emails to let us know they were on their way. Would 1000% recommend them to all my friends and family.

My blower motor went out last summer during the work week. I didn't have time to shop around and ended up paying $980 for a replacement. That wouldnt he so bad, except when it was installed i said there was barely any air flow coming from the vents. The motor installed is clearly the cheapest one they could find and isnt really buying me time for a total unit replacement since my electric bill is way higher than it should be. For that price i expected a variable speed, but got a really crappy single speed that barely puts out air. After the install was done he said my condenser coil was dirty. I've never had service that didn't include coil cleaning and to say that like he didn't just have the unit open and could have taken care of it blew my mind. Today the fan motor started making noise so i went to check it out. That's when i noticed all the missing screws. I had the unit taken apart for the blower motor install and all screws were together so they could be replaced but today i found several discarded screws around the unit. Next time i need service I'll just take the time off work, buy the parts, and do it myself. Had the coil been cleaned and all screws replaced I wouldn't even be writing this review, I was going to let it go. But this is ridiculous. I definitely wont be calling this company when I'm ready to replace the unit. Which will be quicker than anticipated due to the very low quality $980 motor.

I had an excellent experience with Iron Shield Heating & Air! Andrew quoted a fair price on Monday, and by Tuesday afternoon, my new AC unit was installed—quick and hassle-free! From start to finish, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and prompt. The technicians arrived on time, answered all of my questions, and completed the installation smoothly. The work was top-notch, and they made sure everything was running perfectly before they left. I also really appreciated that they left the area spotless. I am pleased with the outcome of the service call today. The staff was very nice, the tech was on time and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed my problems, gave me two ways that it could be corrected. I was not pressured into buying a new system at this time, and was given a military discount which helped a little. Thanks to the entire staff.

I Would like to say this company is one of the best companies I have worked with. Iron Shield Heating and Air are very professional with a great family feel. My daughter was the one who called them because they had installed a new unit in the house where I live. I had problems with the heat not working and they were called and immediately sent a very kind and knowledgeable Tech out. He spent a great deal of time checking and also calling the company which made me feel comfortable as while they were on the phone I could hear the other person on the phone, and part of the conversation was they could not get the part until the next day. He asked the person on the phone should he keep it hooked up working like it was since he had already done the work and diagnosis but needed a new replacement part. I heard the gentleman say yes keep it at least running the way it was as it was going to get very cold tonight so he made sure he kept me with heat and said he would be back first thing in the morning. Well he sure was back the next morning and with him was the other person who had been on the phone call. I not only received great service but feel like I made new friends who could be trusted. I have worked with many companies from electrical to construction and find this company is worth the great reviews on this page. We cannot make everyone happy all the time but after having been in a business that you have those you will never make happy these reviews say a lot about Iron Shield Heating and their employees. I am sorry to say I forgot his name but I believe it was Bob who came out and what a fantastic reliable and friendly person. Thanks Iron Shield!!!
